The Disney-owned program allows consumers of the book—parents and children—to review and rate the nominations. There were thousands of products submitted and all were put through, as iParenting Media Awards says, “the only internationally certified product evaluation system in the parenting and awards industry. The iParenting Media Awards program is ISO 9001:2000 certified, which means we have adopted the highest standards of quality and we are audited by an objective third part, Underwriters Laboratories Inc., to meet these requirements.”
Here’s what one of the reviewers had to say:
The most positive characteristic of this book is that it is informative, and easy to read for young readers. The chapters are short enough for younger readers to read through without feeling overwhelmed. The illustrations add to the interest of the story, and for younger readers, allow for the reader to feel great about reading a chapter book, but still get the benefit of a picture book. We found some of the illustrations very humorous. I really enjoyed reading along with my children because they discovered information about Alexander Hamilton that they didn't know, as did I. We liked that the story is told from the young person's viewpoint. This made the story more enjoyable for my children. The book is made of quality materials, and seems very sturdy. The size of the book is great. It is very easy for my children to hold while reading. The addition of the Young Patriots Series Flyer and bookmark is great because it allows the reader to see what other books are available, and the bookmark helps the reader keep their place. We enjoyed the information at the back of the book, historical time line, glossary, and author information are great and help the reader place themselves in the appropriate time line, help with the terminology, and learn about the author. We enjoyed this story very much.
