Boy Baseball Pioneer Teacher’s Guide:
During Abner’s childhood (in the 1800s), without television and video games for entertainment, families spent time together, telling and retelling stories. Ask students to write any family story that they wish to share with the class. Then have students read their stories aloud to one another.
